The question might seem simple, which Bible character is most like you, but it's a hard question to answer. It is one that I've been asked on many occasions. My first reaction is to joke around and say that I relate to Sarah or Elizabeth because my last child was born when I was old (not as old as the women in the Bible but...). When I take the question a little more seriously it's harder for me to answer.
One Bible character I relate to is Moses. It's not because I think I'm a great leader or anything but rather that when God first approached Moses he seemed a little reluctant to do what God was asking him to do. Sometimes when God asks me to do things, like take on a responsibility at church or give up something that I really wanted to do, I try, like Moses did, to get out of it. I think that maybe it's not really God talking to me or that God wouldn't really ask me to do that. I can come up with dozens of excuses why I shouldn't be the one to do the task, just like Moses did.
Another character I can relate to is the Apostle Peter. Peter was one of Jesus' twelve disciples. Peter is the disciple that first declared Jesus to be the Son of God. But, Peter messed up a lot, too. There were many times that Peter didn't quite get what Jesus wanted him to get. For example, when Jesus talked about going to the cross Peter told Jesus that he shouldn't talk about stuff like that. Peter is also the disciple, that when Jesus was on trial, denied Jesus three times. I think that I am like Peter because, although there are many things I understand about the Bible and Christian faith there are many more things that I don't get quite right and need to be corrected. I just seem to be one step behind where I probably should be. Also, like Peter, sometimes I find it hard not to deny Jesus. I don't want to but I often find myself heading down that path. Like Peter I need the Holy Spirit to give me the confidence to go forward and tell others about Jesus.
So there you have two of the characters I think I'm like in the Bible. The more you read the Bible the more characters you will find to be like yourself.
