Unit Four: Experience
This unit will concentrate on the experience of the Christian life. What is it? How do we live it? How do we apply what we learn to our own lives. We will also be looking at church membership. What does it mean? What am I really saying when I answer the questions in front of the church? We will also look at making a plan to live out those promises we make. Our objectives for this unit are:
- You will be able to explain what it means to live a Christian life.
- You will be able to explain what it means to be a disciple
-You will examine your own life and assess it in terms of Christian living and discipleship
-You will be able to explain the promises you make when you join the church
-You will be able to create a plan for living out your promises.
To meet our objectives we will be looking at some definitions, looking at what people mean by living a Christian life and being a disciple (tradition) and what the Bible (Scripture) has to say on the subject. We'll look at the lives of some real people who have lived out their principles (experience) and look at how we can apply this knowledge to our own lives (reason).
It's going to be an exciting time so let's get started!
