Lesson Two: What's in the Scriptures
Now that we know something about how important the Bible it's time to look at what is between the covers. As we learned last lesson, the Bible isn't just a single book but rather a collection of writings. The amazing thing about these writings is that they all stick to the same theme: God's redemption. This week we'll take a look at the different types of literature in the Bible and how it all points to the story of God's redemption and how it applies to your life. So, by the end of this lesson you will be able to:
- Distinguish between different types of literature in the Bible and be able to read it according to its type
- Tell why we need to be redeemed
- Compare and contrast God's way of redemption with man's way
- Justify which plan works

Create a Graphic Representation of God's Plan for Salvation
The video that we watched was one way to tell about God's plan of salvation. With a partner, discuss how you could create a graphic representation. Some possible ideas: You could
Here is a rubric for the final graphic representation. Recap
Today we learned that the Bible is made up of many different kinds of literature but all those type stick to a theme. The theme that runs through the entire Bible is God's plan of salvation for people. Although we change the way we read and understand the different types of literature God's plan is still the same.
God's plan is simple. So simple in fact that we have a hard time believing it works. But it does if we will only accept it. Don't forget to blog about your thoughts and any questions you might have about this plan. |
