Lesson Four: The Gospels and Epistles
Welcome to Lesson 4! So far you have learned about the Bible and where it came from. You have learned about some of the things that are in the Bible. This lesson will concentrate on the good news of Jesus and how to learn more about it. We'll also learn about how the church began and the instructions given for early problems that arose. So, by the end of this lesson you will be able to:
- describe the content of the Gospels
- explain why we have different accounts of what happened
- describe the purpose of the epistles
- describe some of the problems faced by the early church
- help someone find out more information about Jesus and the Christian life

Assignments

Create a Sketch
In groups of three you will create a short skit about sharing the good news. You will need to describe who Jesus is and what he accomplished. You also need to tell the person where they can go for further information. Your skit should be no more than 5-10 minutes. A rubric for this assignment can be found here.
